There are very few insurance "companies." U.S. President Reagan signed into law a bill in 1984, I believe, which practically transformed insurance "companies" into insurance "banks." The law allowed insurance "companieis" to invest their assets in negotiable instruments like real estate, stock markets and bond markets. While the law helps insurance banks increase their wealth, there is also more reason for them to protect their hard-earned cash from paying out on insurance claims. So, in this way, at least, there isn't much more U.S. President Trump could do to make the insurance industry worse.

No that's what Obama did. Trump plans to fix it.

I think you will do OK if you have employer sponsored insurance and your employer hires at least 50 full time workers. I don't think Trump would screw over his own employees, though I could be wrong about that.

Employer sponsored health reinsurance is regulated through ACA with $200 monthly premiums (for just one person) and $7,500 to 10,000 deductibles that are only available though handful of insurance companies. Trump's plan is to significantly lower those premiums, lower those deductibles and increase the number of insurance companies to choose from.
