Urghhhh such a stupid commericalised, capitalism society being selfish especially towards single and innocent people. Other 364 days a year without love? That is stupid. You must love your partner every single day to maintain the relationship.

I never been in relationship and never had a date on V day enrages me because it all about status. I know quite few people in my network going after one boyfriend to another hundreds of times. It seems like a 'status'. Why women never to a wake up call to fall in love with a guy like me!? I am always around socially active and have good lifestyle but women don't see me at all. I have been asking, but too many are taken, only wanted to stay single like independent people and rejected me. I never had a yes to get into a relationship. I dont understand why I am a bad luck.

I am turning 26 this month and gosh this is getting scarier to me.

Whenever I get a little down because of V Day, I just get out my Grumpy Cat pictures......

I just noticed the candy hearts and they crack me up!

We live in the era of commercial advertising.

The Era of Commercial Advertising started in the 19th century.

But it's still around, is it not? Have we moved onto another era?

I dont find pictures, videos and related stuff makes me smile because it doesn't change who I am and what status I am in. That not a reality, the reality its who I am. If I accept that, but again its my choice. My choice of wanting a date, my choice of wanting a girlfriend and go onto long term.

Big day for the jewelry stores. Nothing says I love you more than flushing money down the toilet.

I don't like the expense of "V-Day"---but I like the romance.

I was Charlie Brown, not getting a Valentine from that girl he had a crush on.

They sell chocolate. I buy salt-flavor peanuts.

Just an ordinary day to me with my wallet being happy.

If anyone read the history about Valentine, you would be surprised how oppressive it is. It involved killings.

Here is my take on that issue:

Diamonds are not "forever" on the Earth's surface. They are undergoing a very, very slow reaction back to the more stable graphite form. Granted it takes much longer than any of our lifetimes, or even if we combined our lifetimes. The only way that they can be sustained here indefinitely is under high pressure and high temperature conditions (like under the Earth's crust). Anything containing enough carbon content (yes, even human bodies) can be converted into a diamond form when the above conditions are met.

Yes, I have ticked off quite a few jewelers saying this little tidbit. :nerdy:

"Meh" to Valentines day. Last year I got a rose which was nice, it was just left in my office. I then found out that the guy who left it, this engineer, also gave the secretary and cleaning staff roses too as a joke. We get along well so we laughed about it, and that was it. That is the most romantic v day I've ever had.
