I would like to know if this is normal, in the sense of "Yeah people do that."

My elderly relative receives texts such as "You'd better stay away from my friend" or some sort of threat. This involves three middle-aged to elderly ladies living within eyesight of each other.

The elderly lady is the one I worry about. Is she imagining it or do people do things like that?

Anything is possible.
Could you ask to look at one of the texts?

I doubt it. She could send me one, across the ocean, but I don't know what I'd do with it. I was hoping somebody would say, "Oh yeah that happens all the time."

In this strange modern world, does it sound like she's being cyber-bullied? I associate that with teens, not elders.
