Yesterday I had a colonoscopy. Had sedation. They found a couple of polyps in my colon. One was around 1.5cm and the other was 5mm. They sent them off for tests. He said they're likely to be 'hyperplastic' but one can never be sure. Has anyone ever experienced this before and what was the result?

I've read that some polyps can be malignant and can turn into colon cancer..

Slightly worried...but just some reassurance would be nice :)

thank you wrong planet

Do some research on Apricot seeds, taste nasty though they fixed my concerns. Now I toss a few into the blender with my morning smoothie.

This article suggests that they are caused by ulcers.

In any case, having them removed and tested is a good thing. Insurance companies see colonoscopies as a good way to cut costs. Early treatment is cheaper than trying to fix things later.
