You might not need to do the daily 9 to 5 at the office complex near you. There ARE ways of making a living from home.

MSN Money: Four real jobs you can do from home:

(note: is there a way to make links wrap without extending the window size, other than using tinyurl?)

======

Got a talent? Bet you do! It would seem to be an Aspie's dream. Freelance work from home. One of the jobs I'd seen was to have in-depth knowledge of musical instruments in the rock and roll/popular music genre, and to know which musicians used those specific instruments. I bet there is someone who has that in-depth knowledge in Aspie-land. Where not only do you know what instrument and make and model, but that it was a limited edition color or custom colored only for a certain performer. Right?

Elance has lots of jobs that people can bid on. Writing is one category. Maybe you are the world's fastest typist? Bid on typing jobs and fly through them and make money:
http://www.elance.com/

======

Don't overlook your writing skills, check local newspapers for submission guidelines and what they might pay:
http://www.sfgate.com/chronicle/submissions/

======

Bonus, you aren't hired by a company in the last two examples. YOU decide if YOU want to do a job. At Elance, THEY decide if they want you to do that specific job. If you don't like them, you NEVER have to do another job for them again.

Another writing job was to make children's stories. Using a set of characters provided by the employer. With a set of morals or values that should be taught BY those characters. How many people here enjoy role-playing games? I guess a lot.

And you can do these Elance jobs within a time frame, but you can do them in the middle of the night all at once. Or a few hours at a time throughout the day. Whatever schedule works for YOU.

Check it out.

Yes there is a way to not have long web link wrap. Click on the Insert url on the edit page looks like a globe. Copy a long url than paste the long url into the little window that pops up. next step give it a name that is shorter and clear it's a link. it puts a code on the edits screen but that will not show when you summit it. You link was like this.

Shorter one 4realjobs link

Thanks, TRUE! The msn article has some good tips i'm checking out, and I'd never heard of Elance; perhaps I can put my graphic arts and proofreading skills to work from home.
That's the kind of specific, helpful information i need. :D

Off-topic, I just watched quite a movie set in SF: The Game, starring Michael Douglas.

I do a little editing and translation from home already but it would be nice to get some new customers as I'm pretty much depending on a single client right now. Thanks, i'll check it out!
