Article

Quote:
The Wisconsin individual market remains volatile, making planning and pricing for ACA-compliant health plans increasingly difficult due to a shrinking and deteriorating individual market, as well as continual changes and uncertainty in federal operations, rules and guidance.”

Anthem also announced Wednesday that it was leaving Indiana’s individual ACA market at the end of the year, and has previously said it would drop Ohio. The changes do not impact plans purchased outside the Affordable Care Act exchange, including company-sponsored plans.

So what?

Quote:
Without Anthem, Wisconsin will still have a more competitive individual market than most states. Wisconsin has 15 carriers in 2017

The big effect was when they pulled out of Ohio, and now some counties in Ohio have no ACA provider.

"The move will leave about 10,500 Ohio residents in at least 18 counties without an insurance option on the exchange unless another carrier steps in".

So now what??

These people still have to pay the penalty.

I wonder how bad it has to get before some people will admit how bad it is.

WSJ: Anthem Pulling Back on Offering ACA Plans in Nevada

Quote:
Anthem Inc. said it would stop selling Affordable Care Act marketplace plans in most of Nevada next year. The move together with the departure of a smaller insurer leaves 14 of the state’s counties poised to have no insurer on its exchange.

Since the money is originally written into existence, without consideration, these services could have been subsidized, at a rate, competitive with the free market.
