He seems to have a talent for pitting people against one another--could he be the Great Divider?

This could mean some amazing innovations in weapons technology in the very near future.

Just look at the development of the atomic bomb. It was basically a reaction to Hitler and the conflict he created.
We might never have bothered had we not gotten into the war. And then the H Bomb....

Helping keep our country strong may economically rewarding for a few talented Aspies willing to help in developing the next generation of bigger and better defenses.

Trump is both a consequence of Americans becoming more divided for many years now and an expeditor of the process.

Trump sprays peaceful protesters with tear gas while giving a thumbs up to Nazis.

He is a physical embodiment of everything that is wrong with my country.

Hillary would have been just as bad, though.

At least Hilary would have know what she was doing.

Trump hasn't any idea, really.....

Trump enjoys making the people of the US look like jokes {regardless if they voted for him or not} because he himself is a joke.

When did trump do that?
Local police forces answer to their mayors only. So unless trump delclared martial law , nationalized the national guard then deployed them then he didn't do anything.

Antifia is super violent. They are not peaceful protests. If you don't get a permit then attack people then you should get gassed and arrested. Don't see me out rioting or attacking people. I don't want to get gassed and arrested. Not to mention I obey the law. I also don't condone violence over political beliefs. Obama turned a blind eye to left violent groups. I'm glad trump is dondeming both sides.

Obama divided this nation. I believe it was his goal. If the left would stop throwning a tantrum, sit down and have talks and actually try to work with trump then they wouldn't lose. More elections. How many elections do democrats have to lose before they figure it out, acting like children doesn't get people to like you. The republicans control congress, the White House, probably soon the court, they have 32 states legistures and 33 governors. But by all regards let's give the republicans more control in 2018. Let's give them a super majority in congress. If they get 60 seats he democrats senators might as well just stay home, cause their ram anything they want without needing any democrats.

As a middle ground person. I don't want the GOP with a super majority, but watching the left throw a giant tantrum and accuse trump left and right so that even people who didn't vote trump are like " wow they just nick pick him over everything" or "non,after what their find something wrong with anything trump does" who do you think they going vote for in 2018? The left seriously needs to get their act together for everyone's sake.

You don't win by smearing your rivial but by being the better person. Instead of smearing trump and making stuff up, how about the left shows they can learn and be the better person. The media should just ignore trump. Giving him attention only turns more people to support him like in the election. People trust the media less then congress. To the general public he media is a bully and trump is the victim.

Uhm, I hate to break it to you, but National Socialism is about as anti-American as it gets. We had a war about this already. Nazis have no place on American soil. Even most Republicans recognize this. Trump is trying to legitimize Nazi ideology in this country by attacking people who oppose it. That is far more treasonous than anything Obama ever conjured up. Trump's support of National Socialism is no longer a partisan issue. This is no longer about left vs right. This is about America versus Nazis.

We should have ended political parties a long time ago. It's done nothing but damage relations between good citizens all because they have different political beliefs. When can two sides agree on for the benefit of our country and its population these days? Nothing. And now rallies and violence. I saw what happened in Charlottesville and I'm glad I don't live there and I hope this level of hate can be contained. I hope there never comes a day when I would be forced to install extra locks on my doors.

The fact that there are some people who are unwilling to unite against genocide and turn it into a partisan issue instead convinces me that the two party us vs them system is BS.

OMG freaking god. He condemned both sides . How in the freak do you people get oh he said both sides are bad therefore he supports the new nazis. Neo nazis wave flags and say hateful things, antifia attack people through out the nation. I'll stand by anyone's right to rally and protest and speak whatever they want. That's exactly what our troops fought and died for, not some censorship of those who we disagree with bulshit. Anyone who thinks it's ok to assault people for differing opinions should be Locked up and the key thrown away.

Wanna truely beat and piss off then do nazis, show up with love, show up with Asians, blacks, gays, disabled, Hispanics, and pretray a message of love and peace. Don't show up with your face hidden behind masks, with weapons waiting to start a fight and assault people. Both groups want a totalitarian government that pushes their views on everyone else. Two heads of the same group.

The above is how people counter protest the west baptis church by the way. It pisses them off real good and spreads the opposite f their agenda.

How can you condemn people who are against nazis? How are people who are against nazis just as bad as nazis? Can you even hear yourself, like do you really think you are making any sense or are you just repeating things you've heard elsewhere and haven't actually thought about yourself? Do you know what a false equivalence is?

Sorry, but this thread isn't doing anyone any good. There have been statements made which are based on emotions rather than facts. Healthy debate is fine but some see only two opposing camps and no middle ground.
