I do all sorts of things, including (but not limited to)
- head nodding
- hitting my head
- flapping/arm waving
- clapping
- legs (bouncing, kicking, stomping, wiggling toes)
- twiddling fingers
- putting a blanket over my head
- making weird noises
- knocking on wooden surfaces
- biting/picking nails
- rocking
- whistling 24/7
- chewing (arms, pens/pencils, toothpicks, foam)
- all sorts of stimming to music
- spinning in circles (only did that when I was a kid though)

I also do a weird sort of stim where I pretend I'm typing on a keyboard. This is my way of "writing" out words or phrases that are repeating in my head.

Yes, it is completely normal, but it can be pathological if it is to the point where it interferes with your life. There are also some studies out there to suggest that people with ASD are more prone to ear worms/intrusive thoughts.

I tend to rub and pick at the rubber buttons on the TV remotes. I have gone through so many remotes because I end up picking the rubber to bits and having to order new remotes.
I also wrap my hair around my arm and let it drop just to hear the sound over and over (I have long hair).
When reading magazines, I scratch at the paper around the margins to feel the texture, especially the smooth, shiny magazine paper.

Rocking both sitting down and standing up
Repetitive hand, arm and leg movements
Pacing
Humming and making sounds
Immediate and delayed echolalia
Slapping my head, upper arms, sides and thighs
Chewing my shirt collar, sleeve and fingers
Hopping or bouncing up and down
