Partially, for small weights they'll do grams, for mid-size they'll move to ounces/pounds, and for quantity they'll move back to metric with kilos. It's such a messed up system it's like they invented it while they were high on drugs... 8O

I sometimes convert recipes quantities to metric, divide to the desired portion size, and then convert that back to US customary, and write that down on the recipe.

Changing an entire country over to metric is far too expensive to be practical. That's why no country in history has ever converted to the metric system. /sarcasm
