I had first day of class last thursday and our class meets only once a week so I will be seeing her tomorrow.

I don't know her, I don't know anything about her. I only know that she's single because I looked her up on Facebook.

My plan is to get there 10 minutes early and talk to her, but I don't know how to start up a conversation with this girl or what to say.

How do I talk to her? What should I say to start up the conversation?

Since you are in class together, talking about the class seems natural?

You could ask her if she's majoring in [whatever topic the class covers]. Ask why she's interested in the class of it's not a requirement of her major.

Tell her you misplaced your notes from last week, and ask if you can make copies of her notes.

Invite her to study with you to prepare for a test in class.

Well, just be yourself. Don't be nervous ans shy. Try to talk to her in a natural way. As it was said above, start discussing the class, I also think it would be ok.

There is a girl in my class that I like as well! We have known each other for about a year and a half and we're friends. I know she likes girls too. I have no idea how to approach her in that way, though. The fear of rejection is strong... like, not that she would decline it, but that she would be weirded out and tell our other friends and they would all think I'm a freak and then I would have no friends.
