I started drinking slim fast about a month ago. It helped curve my appetite and I was able to have a bowel movement 1 or 2 times a day. Slim fast shakes a full of fiber. I've been drinking it 2 to 3 times a day. On top of that, I also eat broccoli and celery which are also high fiber foods. Over the last few days I have been bloated and haven't been able to have a bowel movement. I keep gaining weight and not being able to lose any weight because I can't move my bowels. I was wondering if this is due to the slim fast and all of the fiber I am putting into my body.

Fibre without sufficient fluid intake can cause constipation. Just buy some OTC Senokot to relieve your constipation and avoid gassy foods like broccoli.

Constipation could arise when you eat too much or too little fiber

But some diseases also cause constipation

Look up "Kaiser symptoms checker".

It asks you a series of multiple choice questions.

To determine if you need a doctor
