I have a T-shirt that says this.

Older people are more likely to have problems hearing than younger people unless they're hearing-aid is turned up too high

The problem is teenagers don't have good quality audio. They think loud=good

NO loud is only a part of that. So even though I like music I get annoyed by the high school kids who rattle their car apart with subs. You hear nothing but the thud of bass and the trunk flying off. A good system will not be doing that in the same way.

So I've been too old all my life, then? I have major sensory issues with noise.

hearing someone else's music often gives me a headache

and then it's like their right to listen to music is more important than my right to not get a headache

and then i get afraid to ask them to turn it off, because some precious lil "people" get so hostile, aggressive, and angry at the slightest perceived provocation

especially in the bathroom that is a problem

Well, that's an incredibly selfish way of thinking, isn't it----ESPECIALLY, seein' as how we Aspies have so many sensitivities, and so many of us expect others to accommodate US.

I'm not keen on slogan t shirts me.

Know anything about Auditory Processing Disorder OP? It's not limited to the older person group and affects a number of people of all ages on the spectrum, though it appears you aren't one of them. Have a look at it on YouTube if you want to expand your understanding.

My upstairs neighbor plays music with really heavy bass that rattles the floor and gives me a massive headache (sensory problems). I'm a trained singer who really knows how to project, so I retaliate by singing the cheesiest and most ridiculous pop songs at the top of my lungs. He usually either completely turns off his music or turns it down almost every time. It's awesome.

So basically, "If your music is loud, I'm louder".

I saw a sign it a store that said "I'm not too old. It's just that your music sucks". Sounds like a response to the t-shirt.

on Wrong Planet, numerous autistics have written that sounds/noises/music that NTs do not appear to notice, bother the autistics. that includes things like bathroom hand dryers.

besides, even if i am too old (34), then what? i did not choose my age. but you choose not to wear headphones.

I don't really go around blasting loud music. It's mainly a joke t-shirt. People including old people usually find it funny.

Well i wouldn't take offence to this t shirt.
