What are you talking about? Hot women date bad looking males all the time.

In fact, more often than not, hot women date ugly males.

It's not the appearance that matters - it's the personality.

Most hot women will turn down a nice guy - even if he's hot.

Most hot women will date a bad looking man, if he's abusive.

- If you want to master your surroundings, then you have to be aware of them and understand them.

Hot is subjective. I find most gothic girls to be hot but someone like my older brother who considers himself a "true American" (In his view, a white Christian) would call them ugly. Ghetto girls get considered hot by the "gangstas" but I feel like vomiting when I see them.

Have you considered the possibility that they are actually Satan-worshippers?

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

- Matthew 7:21-23

I don't believe in Satan and what most Christians call "Satanism" is just their ignorance about Wicca as well as other forms of neo paganism. They don't realize that the Catholic church demonized the pagan belief systems and culture to scare people. Christianity itself also took a lot from paganism despite claiming to hate it. A lot of Bible Belters actually think atheism is the same as "Satanism" but what can you expect from close minded people who only associate with those who think like them and reject those who have different ideas? So, no, I don't think the people who shoved their views down my throat were "Satan-worshippers".

Exactly - Catholicism is the one institution that actually introduced Paganism into Christianity.

- Christianity began as an extension of the revelations of The Torah and was not paganistic at all.

Paganism teaches that God(s) is an entity not meant to be understood - and that you have to please God(s) and be a morally-good person to enter heaven.

When the Roman Empire adopted Christianity - they intertwined their Paganistic-beliefs with what was revealed by Yeshua.

Where people once convened in a circle to break bread and form a connection with God - suddenly people were packed into buildings to listen to a "morally-pure" Priest deliver sermons to them about hellfire.

- The difference between Paganism (and the Catholicism that resulted from it) and Christianity, is that Paganism teaches you to please God and be a good person to get into Heaven.

Christianity gives you the revelation that you cannot please God - and that getting into Heaven has nothing to do with morality.

You get into heaven by having a connection with God - that's all.

And when you form a connection with God, you take on His characteristics (Perfect love, long-suffering and wisdom)

This goes back to the beggining of Genesis - when the Serpent said, "If you eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil - you will be like God"

Religion (and Paganism) mimics God.

And God said, "If you eat from My Tree - you will live forever"

Meaning that forming a connection with God gives you permanence and that you will take on His characteristics.

Religion does the opposite and mimics the process - leading to death.

That is why Atheism (the belief-system that God does not exist) is the same as Satanism - because it is part of Satan's intent to keep you closed off from God (keeping a connection from being formed and leading to death)

The irony is that Athiesm is just like the closed-mindedness you referenced in your post - and it is also closed-heartedness.

It's also ironic that they are not ignorant about Wicca/Neo-Wicca - they are aware of the fact that it is also a diversionary-tactic that is also rooted in death. (The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil - Religion)

Now the reason your peers where you live are Satan-Worshippers - is because if they were Christians, they would not make fun of you, threaten you, insult you and demean you.

The Matthew 7:21-23 Verse that I quoted is about God telling fake-Christians that He hates their fakeness and that they never had anything to do with Him.

So God is aware of your plight, and coincidently, He is working in your life right now.

Catholicism is older than Christianity. You need to stop buying into Bible Belt propaganda.

You do realize most Jews consider pretty much every form of Christianity a wrongful interpretation of their faith? Some even consider it to be a threat that must be eradicated.

Than why do so many Christians say "The Lord works in mysterious ways?" all the time? And no, most pagans don't believe what you are claiming. How can they when there is no Heaven or Hell in their belief systems? They tend to focus more on being harmonious with nature and with your fellow man. You have most likely never met any actual pagans and just keep swallowing Bible Belt distortions about them.

You do realize there are different sects of Christianity and they have different views on what it is to be a "true believer"?

I never felt a connection with God, even when I truly believed in Him. I know myself, you don't. Even the people who felt the same did not take on the characteristics you claim are supposed to manifest in those who believe.

Again, more Bible Belt propaganda. How can atheism be the same as Satanism? They don't believe in either God or Satan.

I'd rather be around nice atheists than mean Christians. I've actually seen atheists show more compassion to struggling Christians than their own fellow Christians have shown them.

The Wiccans I know are some of the nicest and smartest people I've ever met. They are full of life and happiness so your outlook on them is misguided as well as woefully inaccurate.

If God was working through me, why did I turn away from religion? Whenever I read the Bible or heard a sermon or lecture, I would feel more dread than hope. If I looked at porn or hentai and listened to secular music, I would feel pleasure instead of dread. If God was working through me, wouldn't it have been the opposite?

The real sad thing here is that my older brother kicks up the biggest fuss about Christianity in the whole family and if he saw your post, he would say you were wrong.

Christianity is the movement that began with Jesus. Catholicism is the institution that grew out of proto-Christianity.

I think Catholicism is an inappropriate application of paganism to win converts. WRT paganism, if, say, there ever really was a Zeus, God (Yahweh) created him and rules over him. If sea monsters actually exist, God made them and they exist for His pleasure. If the Titans were ever real, God and God alone defeated them.

Extend that line of thinking to witchcraft, and God is the center of your circle. And when you make your circle, you don’t make your incantations to bend God’s will to yours, but rather you plead your brokenness and beg for His mercy. All worship, no matter what form it takes, is directed to the One God. And let’s talk about God and how we can use the way you worship as a context for true worship...

See, I think that’s how it all got started. The idea of transubstantiation, for instance. The god’s own flesh and blood being consumed in his death and the god being reborn—very Dionysian. The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God—the duality of divine nature. Prayers for the dead—apocryphal. All the minor gods/goddesses and great heroes of semi-divine origin—prayers to the saints and angels.

I have no problem with cultural appropriation when it comes to speaking the language and making our faith clear to those who’ve never heard the gospel. It’s when the church and the culture become indistinguishable that I think the church becomes corrupted. The RCC makes much of tradition alongside and even above scripture, and in so doing much of the intended message is lost.

I’m not one to say RC’s are unsaved and destined for hell. I believe many are true believers. And the Catholics I’ve gotten to know over the last few years are absolutely some of the kindest and most wonderful people I’ve ever known. They’ve been much nicer to me than many of my fellow Baptists, certainly. But the extra-Biblical stuff that’s made it to dogma level is just too much for me, and I’m afraid the RCC is misleading a lot of people.

Dogma in and of itself isn’t a bad thing. We all adhere to some of it. Here’s mine: God exists, man is sinful, Jesus is God’s Son who atoned for our sin on the cross, all who believe will spend eternity in God’s presence, the Bible documents and witnesses the relationship between man and God. That’s it. As a Baptist, I believe that only professing believers should be baptized of their own free will and that the only proper baptism is full immersion in water. But notice I never said baptism is a requirement for salvation, nor did I say those who don’t go all the way down into water are destined for a devil’s hell.

So I like to say I’m a Christian first, Baptist second. I know Catholics who will say something very similar. But there are dogma issues that are frightening when you consider the extent to which Catholics believe this stuff. I’m a sola fide guy; Catholics teach faith AND works. I think that actually does more harm than good. The RCC doesn’t allow much if any diversion from dogma, whereas Baptists, as conservative as we usually are, at least still have the door open to discussion on less clear positions (free will vs. predestination, Calvinism, music/order of service, logistics/procedure, etc.). RCC is rigidly centrally controlled from the Vatican where what the Pope says is law; SBC is a convention of autonomous churches that have a common thread—what you actually experience is different from one Baptist church to another.

I stick with SBC churches because I like the simplicity. I could be almost as at home in a Pentecostal church. I’d go with Assembly of God if I were going Pentecostal. I’m a Trinitarian, so Oneness Pentecostalism is out. I’m not really compatible with adventists or JW, either, and I often wonder if some groups can even really make an honest claim to be Christian.

My mistake. Relationships, religion, and music are the topics I obsess over the most. I also had some dabblings in law for a brief period, plus I’m married to a former paralegal who, as it turns out, has a lot more experience with divorce than I ever did. I’m also interested in politics, but I’m barely even a hack at politics.

Religion will very seriously come up in relational discussions because it does have a strong influence on the relationship. So even though I go off the deep end sometimes, it’s most certainly relevant.

I recall a young woman came in here who apparently was from India. She was in a troubled marriage that, as it turns out, was an arranged marriage. It came out that her autistic husband married her, got what he wanted out of her, and mistreated her so he could set it up like it was HER fault that he left her. The sad part is she loved him and wanted him back. I suggested she litigate, but I doubt she went that far. She hasn’t posted here since.

It’s sad, but cultural and religious issues do have a significant role in relationships. It’s useful to discuss when it’s appropriate.

especially if they have aspergers.they don't matter to any NT B****,based on how they appear to them upon eye-contact & they end up walking away from them like A******* thinking that they're being creeped out like Idoits.that's why they're made to suffer romantically & sexually :x :x :x .that's also why i would rather have sex with a giant teddy bear, along with a giant stuffed tiger along with many other giant stuffed animals & use them as sex toys.much to the would-be freak outs of family & friends alike the moment they become aware

Believe it or not, one of my old gym teachers told all the male students "The devil tells you that you need a girlfriend to be happy." Then why do priests molest little boys?

I just don't know where to start in figuring things out. I sometimes wonder if there's something similar to the psychosocial moratorium in adulthood.
