Not that I am a fan of it but the British Empire grew to be largest Empire that ever existed and the influenced the world far more than the Frankish did.

I was writing specifically about the immediate period after the fall of Rome in the west, when such Barbarian kingdoms arose.
As for the Frankish kingdom - it's legacy lives on in the histories and heritage of Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands combined. Not just because all these countries were under Frankish rule, but because a large portion of the the aforementioned nations were of Frankish ethnicity.
