I think of the seasons of the year being so different from eachother.

The midnight sun and midwinter darkness.

Pine trees, juniper, rowan bushes and birches.

Huldra, nøkken and all the mythological creatures. Tor, Odin and all the norse gods.

Picking cloudberries, crowberries, blueberries and lingonberries.

Being fascinated by Pippi, Emil, and Carlson and all the other Astrid Lindgrens charachters. The northeren lights in the sky above when we were out playing and how we questioned wheather or not to believe that it would come and get us if we waved at it with something white, as we had heard).

A little of the Jante Law and "Bygdedyret" (Village beast) unfortunatley.

I think of oil(with guilt), Volvo(I have one myself) and Hurtigruten(That was my transport between home and school for a while). Legoland and how exciting it was as a kid to go there and how happy I was afterwards for having been there.

Beautiful Gotland where I went twice for the summer holidays. Also the many summer holidays along the seashore in Bottenvika(wearing my sweedish clogs i suppose).

The royal families.

And the ocean. Yes very much the ocean! The Golf stream that brings us warmth up here!

Since I grew up here, Scandinavia makes me think of my life up until now and I become nostalgic by thinking of what comes to mind...

I'm watching tourists making Youtube videos going about exploring Stockholm, and i cannot understand why they are so captivated by it. For me, it's the same old neighbourhood...

I haven't even visited the Wasa museum - or most of them, seen any of the tourist sites (like going up on Globen, looking out over the town) and i've lived here for almost a decade.

lostonearth,

I love Norwegian Forest cats, too! (But I'm a cat lover, anyway, so of course I find them beautiful!)

Its like when US cinema audience yawn when they see US locations in films , they forget that non-US audience might like to see SF or similar cities.

Same with roman audience , they see the Coliseum all the time , to them its nothing special.

Images of Scandinavian landscapes I have seen. Like a small colorful costal village at the foot of snowclad mountains.
