Has anybody had good luck with women's snow boots? What kind do you use and was the price reasonable?
I used rain boots last year with thermal socks. This doesn't work. I still felt really cold. Frozen toes and all.

I got a good pair at Kmart for like $25 or $30. They are actually fairly comfortable and I have really wide feet.

I have a nice pair of Columbia snow boots. They're super comfy, and also warm. I like the body heat reflective lining in them the best

I've heard coyote skin is about the best thing you can get. Not sure how dog skin compares to coyote, but you can get dogskin and felt boots from Mongolia for a fairly reasonable price. Sheepskin is pretty good, too (so UGGs or something).
I like wigwam's silk and wool socks for the cold wet weather. Both materials maintain their insulative characteristics when they're soaked.
It really depends how cold and wet you have to deal with and what you consider reasonable, I think.

I ordered a pair yesterday from eBay.

Hopefully I'll receive them before the winters over.

I got mine on ebay too. Very reasonable priced.

They are fully fur lined and thick rubber upto the ankle then suede upto knee.
They have good grip with a thick moulded sole.
They are very warm and like walking on air.
They keep my feet both warm and dry - I have been out in the snow twice today, and it is very shlushy in places.

∆∆ Yes mine were a good price as well. £20 a pair.
