I think ours has ADHD. She gets distracted extremely easily. She's acting hungry & before I can finish getting her food ready she walks off. I call her & she comes back & sometimes walks away rite after she sees her dish is on the floor before she's even looked in it. She acts hungry rite after she's gotten fed. She'll eat something one time really fast & not touch it again the next time she gets it. She climbs back & forth on me & my girlfriend's lap tap dancing on & off us & on & off the chair that's next to the sofa only to walk away before she settles down. She'll start playing with something else soon as she starts playing with a toy. She'll walk back & forth behind us & we keep bumping into her cuz we just saw her leave. She'll climb on the windowsill only to climb off rite after & go back on it a minute later.

There is a children's book, "All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome." It is cute and very true.

I had a cat, Samantha, who was very close to me. She loved music, played with atypical toys (white socks were her favorite. She was a Siamese mix with white fur and the socks looked like her "kittens,") and she liked food that was atypical for cats. She loved a German brand of butter cookie called Leibnitz. Samantha lived to be 20 and started a lifelong love of Siamese cats for me.

I know about dogs. Some dogs like chasing their tails, but particular dogs can chase their tails for a few hours. It's a matter of comparison.
