1. Doom, the old one. I dont like the current version of this genre one bit, so.... old Doom.

2. No

3. Uhhh... Moon Patrol? Juno First? Galaxian? I play too many retro games (particularly arcade games) to ever really choose one. I'll be here all week if I try to choose...

4. This is a genre now? Huh.

5. Binding of Isaac on the Switch.

6. No

I cant stand old First Person Shooters like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom because they make me seasick. Seriously. Newer First Person games have thankfully fixed this problem.

I have that problem sometimes too, but it usually gets better with exposure. I'm not sure if it's framerate, or weapon/head bob, or lack of mouselook, or all of the above. I know using a source port with mouselook enabled usually makes it much better.

Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast gave me really bad motion sickness, too.

I think its a combination of frame rate and the less crisp nature of the graphics. The last one is esp an issue for me in Duke Nukem 3D.

Hmm...it's really easy to increase the resolution in DN3D, though. Even the original DOS release supported tons of SVGA modes.

Shooter: Halo 2. Love *EVERYTHING* the Gravemind says.

RPG/Adventure: Final Fantasy (Part 1)

Retro: Burger Time

Super Hero: Arkham Asylum

Hand Held: Oracle of the Seasons/Ages

Survival Horror: The Evil Within

IMO Deadspace is not survival horror. Its much closer to a space marine shooter.

Those are all good games.

I do see DS as survival horror. First, Issac is not a Marine, he is in fact an engineer. Most of his "weapons" are simply power tools, and very few are military grade armaments. And he is not fighting a traditional military enemy--all of the fighting is against zombie like monsters. It is quite clear that much of his equipment is not intended for this.

Imagine if the Master Chief or Duke Nukem were there fighting the Necromorphs--no contest pretty much.

1. Shooter: Can't stand shooter type games so I'm going to say "Deadly Premonition" since you do shoot things in it.

2. RPG/Adventure: "Fallout 2"

3. Retro/Old School Arcade: Not really played any arcade games so I'm putting "Monkey Island 2" here since it's retro and RPG/Adventure is only one category for two of my all time favourite games!

4. Super Hero: "Batman Arkham Asylum"

5. Hand Held Unit Game: Never had a hand held game system.

6. Survival Horror: "Silent Hill"
