Shank 3... the very gene mentioned today here: viewtopic.php?t=361840&p=7856650#p7856650
We still don't even know if this shank3 is associated with anything autism-like in humans. Nor if "autistic" behaviors in mice have anything to do with human autistic behaviors - mice are nothing close to being naturally social as humans are.
We are far, far away from even investigating the thing properly.
