In this thread, we talk about things that we wish we had.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been fascinated by giant sequoia trees. Oftentimes, I wish I had a giant treehouse in a sequoia. It would be more like an arboreal fortress. My fortress would house two of every animal on earth and I would repel invaders using a crossbow.

Eventually, I would modify my big tree into a rocketship and then I would fly through space in my spaceship tree. One of the branches would have a satellite dish on it and I would also build wooden robot buddies. Our goal would be to reach the planet where Kirby lives. I love that guy.

I would also have wood missiles and a machine gun that fires splinters. I would, of course, also wear wooden shoes even though I am not Dutch. I suppose I could get Dutch citizenship or something.

I wish I had control over my bowels.

Perhaps your bowels refuse to submit to your tyranny!

You asked a question, so I gave you an honest answer.

I would love to have a cat again someday, but not too soon. I lost my last two within a year of each other, and it still hurts too much. Right now, I just have feral cats.

I would like to have a full time job, either at the library or in a helping profession of some sort.

I want to be a fully functional adult. I have made great leaps forward in the past five years, but still have a way to go.

A big home with lots of walls where I can hang my posters and pics, and all the money in the world to spend on the books, DVDs, CDs, games and trips I want, as well as animal related charities.

Perfect health.

After the hell that I've been through, I wish I had my sanity back, and my female organs removed, as well as the part of the brain that makes me feel stressed.

A cure for cancer.

I'd also like to have my female organs removed and a lifetime supply of testosterone. I'd also like for my German flag to arrive in the mail, so I can sleep under it at night instead of having my old music playing. It's at a very low volume though.

^ I echo that one Raleigh. My daughter had another op for her second bout of cancer yesterday. Came through it ok, but of course wonders if there will be a third round - and in our family, that's no idle speculation.

Hope your treatment is going particularly well Raleigh, you must brighten the place up with your quirky sense of humour when you are at the treatment centre.

Stuff I wish I had: a superb pair of dressmaking scissors that cut with absolute precision and never go blunt...

A job I can support myself on.

A way to stop being such a burden.

And the ability to take the shape of a dragon at will, to match my dragon soul.

All of my imaginary friends to be real and for the people who are being mean to me to leave me alone permanently.

A secure job that I don't dread going to that's closer to my house than the one I have now so I could save money on fuel and insurance.
Once I get that I can get the majority of the other things I want.

I'd like a new top-quality skateboard.

I can't use a skateboard, I've never owned one, but I want one.
