I like snakes, but I also like Florida sand skinks.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_sand_skink

The Florida sand skink is a lizard that has really itty-bitty legs that it rarely uses.

In other words, this animal is a living transitional form. It is in the process of evolving into a snakelike reptile.

The beauty of the natural world never ceases to amaze me.

It’s a learned behavior.
You can always tell the reptile people when someone yells “snake”,we run to the snake to get a look instead of running the other way.

Many animals are instinctively afraid of snakes, perhaps it's something that's present in human beings to some degree. I've always liked them. Growing up we had snakes living around our house so it's just something we knew was there and accepted. One of my friends keeps snakes and I love having a hold of them every chance I get.

Yeah its instinct. The strangest thing is how some snakes don't seem to have an inherited fear of us, I don't know if this is the early process of domestication but most of my snakes are more tamed than my guinea pigs.
