Do you like grandfather clocks?

I like the sound of them moving.

I've only seen them in pics and on TV. They sound nice. I find the tick tock of clocks relaxing.
Only bad part I can see about them is that take up quite a bit of space.

Oh yes. I find ticking clocks relaxing and a good thing to concentrate on when other sounds are irritating me. My grandparents, appropriately enough, had a grandfather clock in their home, and I remember it being a wonderful sound full of little details and the lovely deep resonances of the big wooden case.

Grandfather clocks, along with cuckoo clocks, are just the berries.

I do, but not as much as I like my Felix the Cat clock.

My grandparents also had one. It was in the "sitting room". The sitting room was kept for special occasions. We didn't normally go in there on family visits. I did like to sneak in there when I could though. It was totally silent except for the clock. Everything in there was kept scrupulously clean and tidy and it was a really relaxing place. Invariably someone would soon come looking for me and I had to go back to the kitchen where we all sat around a large table with everyone talking. I much preferred the sitting room and the ticking of the clock.

Yes I do. I would have loved to have one. They ad the kind of atmosphere I like to a room.... I guess I would have started talking to it if I had one
