"By the mid-1940s, the psychological study of childhood in Europe and America
had become a recognized and growing area of science with significant advances in
descriptions, theoretical models and assessment instruments, but Asperger could not
find a description and explanation for the small group of similar and unusual children
that he found intriguing. He suggested the term Autistische Psychopathen im Kindesalter. A
modern translation of the original German psychological term ‘psychopathy’ into
current English terminology would be personality disorder – that is, a description of
someone’s personality rather than a mental illness such as schizophrenia."

Yeah, the OP's link (to search results) was fine. I was just pointing out that the first result shown for Attwood's book was a dead link.

Actually I got Attwood's book. It worked when I used it. But thank you for posting the link you posted as well. It is good to have the both.

I don't think Dr Tony minds

I believe people should support Tony Atwoods work by buying his book, rather than downloading it for free.

They should. But some of us legitimately cannot afford it. I know Dr Attwood. And I know that if it there are people who truly really cannot afford it but who need it and who are not able to get it from a library, he would not mind them downloading it. But I think that if people can afford it, they should pay for it. But I know that there are lots of Autistic people on this site who really are financially unable to pay even $20 for the book and who really need to be able to read it. I am pretty sure that he would be happy for those people to have it. But yes, those who can afford it should pay for it and those who cannot and who are able to go to a library should do that also.
