Good News - Invitation to Paint Party

I just now got a text from my supervisor inviting me to a paint party paid for by her......we start work on the 8th....I'm her para....so I would wager to say she is happy with my work the previous school term.

It's a 45 minute drive on other side of Orlando from me and at night. Worth it though as learning how to paint will help in this job. We provide art education in our self contained ex Ed class. I went from knowing nothing almost glueing my fingers together to at least some proficiency at setting up art instructions....new skills....as before I was purely academic.

At first I thought you were talking about paintball.

Sounds nice. It's worth the 45-minute drive. Listen to some music you like---and the drive will seem like nothing.

I'm not sure what you are talking about here. Is it her personal house she wants painted? And is she paying you for your time?

It's one of my those places where people meet an you get supplies and instructions how to paint pictures. I'm not a professional painter at all. Just learning oil painting.

In New York, in the Groucho Marx days, you would be learning Earl Painting.

Oh yes, I've heard about that. People generally have a good time. I hope you do, too!

Yeah, we would sit across from each other and trade barbs ... but it would be all in fun. If KK lived in my city, I'd have coffee with him. (With my husband along as chaperone!)

I thought you meant painting pictures.. but I hoped you meant body painting. :p

I’ve been to a private night club party where you walk in, shirts off, her body painted with ultra violet ink, and then everyone has glowing designs on them under the black lights that are on the dance floor. There were 5 live drummers from the beach drumming to the DJ’s, too.

But painting pictures with your boss sounds fun, too. :p heh should be good fun.

Is a 45 min drive across town a long drive for you?

Goldfish, it is a bit of a drive at night but shall be fun.

KK....you could howl. Bea, coffee with you and KK could be fun....or maybe margaritas. GF, body painting. What a great idea.
