I am infatuated with Leslie Hope, she is an underrated gem. An absolutely wonderful Canadian actress. She is impossibly beautiful. Every part she plays I love it. Even the way she conducts herself in interviews is amazing.

She is my favorite actress. I also liked Katherine Hepburn. Old pictures of my grandmother resemble her greatly.

When I was a kid, I loved Jimmy Stewart. I loved the movie Harvey, and Jimmy Stewart’s character was an incredibly kind and gentle man. That’s my type: kind, gentle, and decidedly eccentric.

Not at present but past:

Eleanor Bron in the Beatles' Help movie.

Claudia Cardinale in Once Upon a Time in the West

Brigitte Helm in the 1927 film Metropolis

Irene Dunne. Most of her movies

Connie Booth and actually also Prunella Scales in Fawlty Towers

I was gaga for Lynda Carter when Wonder Woman was first on TV.

Both Terri Garr and Madeline Kahn in Young Frankenstein

A lot of others but they come to mind

Alan Rickman was a huge favorite of mine. Miss him.
Mark Rylance captured my heart after seeing BFG and Bridges of Spies.
Thandie Newton is a female actresses I think are wonderful.
There are many actors and actresses I think have a lovely presence on screen and seems like interesting people. I could list many.

Audery Hepburn was of course a wonderful actress too. I remember how I watched the movie Wait until Dark again and again as a kid. It was so thrilling. It was the first movie with her I watched.

Also when I was a kid and read the biography about Charlie Chaplin and it is fair to say I developed an infatuation for the man.

I hadn`t heard of Leslie Hope until now and look forward to see her in a movie or series soon.

Is it just me, or does it seem that the most favorite actors are either dead or niche-bound to a specific genre?

Maybe a lot of us have had special interests around TV and films. I think that’s the case with me, anyway. The NT friends I had as a teenager were not at all interested in old movies, but I was fascinated by them. I’d go through phases in which I just wanted to watch Alfred Hitchcock movies over and over again. I’ve had similar experiences with old musicals and love stories.

I get obsessed with specific movies for awhile and want to watch them constantly. I guess i find it calming and comforting.

Oddly enough, I've never felt any sort of "infatuation" or "crush-feelings" on any particular actress. The most I ever felt was a very fleeting lust.

I forgot that my first TV crush was a cartoon character: Betty Rubble from the Flintstones. I took all the couch and chair cushions, piled them on the floor and put a blanket over them to make a cave. I crawled in and pretended she was in danger in the darkness. "I'll save you, Betty!" I yelled. Big crush on her.

That's sweet. I was more fond of Wilma personally. It was a feel good cartoon.
