I remember reading Evan had a seizure as a child. Landau-Kleffner syndrome is accompanied by epilepsy.

There's already a wave of negativity surrounding autism. I'm really glad this got panned by so many people. She absolutely deserves all of these responses and more. It's hard enough to live with autism, and I'm lucky to have it fairly mildly, but those with more extreme symptoms especially don't deserve this kind of treatment.

I'm proud of the people who stood up to her. I would have done the same thing if I knew about the cold-blooded hashtag.

I've seen some interesting stuff when I look up the #EndAutismNow hashtag on Instagram. About half of it is from an anti-vaxxer who posts anti-vaccine sh!t, while the other half is from autistic people who are expressing their opposition to Jenny McCarthy's ideas.

Honestly, I would be one of those autistic people who posts their opinions about the autistic community and being autistic themself. But I'll save that until April.

Yet another NT who hates Aspie/Autistic people.Jenny McCarthy is simply a part of the vast majority of NT's who don't like Aspie/Autistic people.This is why I don't try to be friends with NT'S(outside of the fact that I have absolutely nothing in common with them at all).This is why I don't even try to have conversation with NT's unless it's strictly for work related reasons.

Why can’t she just love her son the way he is?

I think that is the root of all her outbursts and rants and crusades.

She desperately wants him to be like every other child, but he is different.

She should love HIM, not who she wants him to be.

He deserves unconditional love, whether he is perfect or not.
