Civil service engineers?

Hi, are any of you working civil service as an engineer? If so, what are your experiences like? My goal is to work as an electrical engineer, civil service at the nearby military base. Currently have three more years left in college, including this upcoming year (I am just about to start my third year, for five years total) and I plan on getting in touch with the nearby base's Palace Acquire program.

I am a civil servant----but I'm not an engineer.

Civil Service has its good aspects, and its bad aspects.

The main "good aspect" is the relative security.

The main "bad aspect" is the fact that promotion tends to be a slow process.
