What show/s do you love that other people hate?

Personally, Netflix’s ‘The Iron Fist.’ A rich young man who returns home with an ultra liberal outlook on life and gets down with helping, and relating to, the homeless and turns his deceased parents company into an activist venture against the wishes of the ultra conservative board members.

Part of the reason people hated it was they saw the protagonist as a rich brat who didn’t know his place. As a rich brat that doesn’t know my place - that’s what I LOVED about it. The first season is what Green Arrow should be in regards to politics (GA is a socialist (in the comics but the show doesn’t depict that), represent!). Excited for season 2.

So what shows do you love that other people hate?

Most people don't even know what it is these days I'm sure:

It's just so absurd, wrong, antisocial, sexual, surreal, and a touch philosophical at times as it goes on.
It has great satire, references, and the visual effects are just the worst.
Each season is fundamentally better than the last.
It's utterly unique, perfect in every way.

My parents hated it, that much I know. Not appropriate for a kid.
I think I've met at most two people who've ever really watched it.

I bet if you sat any random person down to see it they'd say "what the f*** did you just make me watch?"

And holy crap the entire series is on Youtube for free ! (Season 1 is a bit NSFW :twisted: )

I think it's about time to watch it again, it's been a few years...

You didn't specify current shows so I assume I can "dig deep".

I really liked Luverne & Shirley as a kid. My wife says she thought the show sucked.

Other older shows I liked that must not have been popular since they were on only for a short period:

Man from Atlantis a 77-78 TV show staring Patrick Duffy
Q.E.D. a 1982 TV show starring Sam Waterston
Manimal a 1983 TV show about a man who can shape shift into animals.

Freaks and Geeks. Who was responsible for cancelling that show???????

I liked Longmire, but my wife thought it sucked and she wouldn't watch it with me.

Atypical. I don't love the show, but it's entertaining enough for me to watch. I think there might be a second season coming up?

I personally enjoyed Class (the newest Doctor Who spinoff) but I guess it wasn't popular enough to get a second series and a lot of people I talk to really disliked it.

Not going to say that people "hated" it but I was alone in my liking of the show RJ Berger when it came out

Lost (was very popular, but the end was hated and many then rejected the series)

I don't know that they were hated, but apparently they weren't too popular. Both only had one season

I like the reality TV show called Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Some people I know have told me that they don't like it.

I like the show because it gives you a look into the celebrity lifestyle.

I watched a bit, but it was clearly meant to be tween, a bit too mild for me. It also had a very strong Waterloo Road vibe, which made me feel like they were pushing a bit too much for the schoolyard drama genre which is far too overdone at this point.

To be honest, I haven't had interest in Doctor Who since Matt Smith became the Doctor. I think they reached the whole running out of ideas mark at that point.

I see what you are saying. My personal favorite of the spinoffs is Torchwood followed by The Sarah Jane Adventures. Now that I think about it, Class was somewhat like Waterloo Road (which I actually enjoy too, got into it because I wanted to watch Jenna Coleman's episodes, but it hooked me for a while). I remember seeing someone on Tumblr compare Class to Torchwood saying it was like an alternate universe of Torchwood, and that the characters were somewhat similar but younger, high-school versions.
