CockneyRebel, I think Boo means something vulgar when he talks about sausage fests! Although, your idea is good. A nice cold mug of beer and German sausage, sitting outdoors in the sun!
Sausage fest means a place (or a virtual place) where there are wayyy more men than women. Pubs and bars are usually the case, an average single man becomes a cheap commodity in this situation.
