I thought that this would make an interesting topic.

My most common one right now is lip flapping- sort of a race car/horse noise.

I also constantly have a chewy clipped to my shirt and I chew on it and rub it on my lips and the inside of my mouth.

I also tend to repeat the same words or stories to myself over and over when I’m stressed

What are some of your stims?

Stroking my arm, picking my head, rocking my head side to side and back and forward. I have some blu tax I like playing with. Not sure if this is a stim but I look at comic art, or art in general. When my girlfriend stays over she rubs my head.

I do a lot of stims (too much to say), a lot of them I do all the time, but there is just as many that I would consider "situational stims" that I only do in certain situations. -- Let's just say I am in a constant state of stimming one way or another.

Some stims I do very often:
- Rocking back and forth, side to side.
- Stretching/tensing every part of my body, (hard to explain exactly).
- Biting/Chewing on hands/Arms, sucking on fingers, or chewing on anything.
- Ribbing parts off of plants and playing with them.
- Hitting head with hands.
- Jumping & Hand/Arm Flapping
--- Many, many, many others.

Pacing is a common one for me when I'm nervous.

Making a sort of gagging noise with my throat, coughing or clearing throat, pacing, rubbing the back of my neck, blowing on my hand then smelling it to see if my breath smells, rubbing the bridge of my nose (at one point I was doing this so much It made a mark and bled.
Some others I can't think of right now. They generally change a little over time as well.

Flicking my foot, rocking back and forth, rubbing my index and middle finger against each other, flicking all my fingers against my thumb back and forth, things like flicking the magnet on my phone case (also the same on clothes and other stuff that can be flicked), rub the thing on zippers (not sure what it's called), rub my earlobe, rub my nails against each other, rub something between my thumb and index finger. I also have a fidget cube that I love.

I find myself clicking my fingers quite fast sometimes at work and less often at home. It's usually when my mind and body are running too hot and the world is too close pushing on my skin. It's not a conscious thing though - I just notice myself doing it, or it's pointed out to me.

The other thing I do at home is spin my figet spinner and blow on it so it makes the noise of a helicopter. The blowing adds resitance to the spin so it gradually slows down and sounds like a helicopter winding down. I really love that sound and do it often but only at home. In public it wouldn't be appropriate.

If watching videos of cats and my favorite tennis players counts, I guess that is something of a stim for me. It makes me happy.

-Biting my fingernails and/or scraping the underside of my fingernails with my teeth
-Rubbing and pulling out my eyebrows (enough that sometimes my eyebrows look funny)
-Biting the hair off my arm
-Hitting my forehead with the palm of my hand (not hard enough to hurt)
-Tapping my head against a wall (again, not hard enough to hurt)
-Biting my arm (yet again, not hard enough to hurt)
-Pulling the tab on teabags to bits and rolling said bits up.
-Generally fiddling with objects
-Bouncing my knee
-Pacing
-Making certain noises

There are many more stims I do that wasn't able to think of, but I generally don't do the classic ones of rocking or hand flapping.

When I have a happy thought I might do a finger twirl, a wrist twirl or slowly slice the air with my hand.
When its bad I'm clicking joints, repeating syllables and a talking a load of nonsense.
