All people are inept in some way. Many are quite good at hiding their ineptitude.

I wouldn’t go as far as denying contact with folks based on some sort of ineptitude.

I am clumsy as an ox. Big Effin deal. Others have to live with it.

I used to take this on. I had a bad inferiority complex. Still do. But not as bad as earlier in life.

I specialize in knowing things that repel or completely baffle others. I've been hacking gadgets & software for eighteen years now, it's hard to even remember where I started. Someone transcended all that plastic-y nonsense for me & so I'm a friend for life. My knowledge gaps are completely normal things.

I guess some part of me sometimes feels inferior due to this but more often, I just feel too different to make my true intentions known; everyone's bound to make their own presumptions about my strangeness. I think I'm waiting around now for those judgements to be revised.

Being direct about things always helps.

Some people like to guess. Many don’t.

I’m not always direct with things...and it gets me into trouble.

I suck at “normal” things, too.

I think it would be more interesting on my part to let my friends guess more, my life is sufficiently enigmatic & bizarre. Maybe my obscurity can do more for the imagination if I embellish it.

I can't stop thinking this is the #1 reason I'm so isolated. It's a conscious habit but I'm not in control. There's only one person I know whom I ever got over this with & she understandably needs time to process it.
