How does he travel around the world in one night, manage to eat all those cookies, be in all those malls at the same time? Why does he have the same handwriting as lots of people's parents, use the same wrapping paper as lots of parents and leave presents at many houses days or even weeks before Christmas?

Santa is make-believe.

Yeah, I hate having to admit that, too. :(

No! It can't be true!

Yes, Han ... it's true ... and I'm sorry ...

Reindeer are real, but they can't fly.

The North Pole is real, but it's one of the most desolate places on Earth and with global warming Santa's workshop would probably sink, along with other beloved characters like Frosty and Rudolph. That's what Santa told Homer when I played The Simpson's Tapped game.

Santa is a made-up fantasy to make Christmas time exciting for young children. It doesn't have to make logical sense. I was a believer of Santa from ages 2-8, and I never thought of the logic.

If you want logic to the fantasy, I can come up with some:-

Santa doesn't visit EVERY child's house in the world because not all religions celebrate Christmas

There could be a "boss Santa", which is the one children believe in, but thousands of minion Santas can work for him and pass off as him when they visit our homes. Same with the reindeers

All parents have to pay Santa for the presents, which explains why poorer children get less presents

I'm 43 and I still believe in Santa.

It's the round-the-clock surveillance operation on all minors that worries me more! Can I make a freedom of information request to get hold of my case files - I'd like to have a few things redacted!

^^^I'm more concerned about him sneaking into little kids rooms, watching the kids, & wanting them to sit on his lap.

Yes, Virginia. There IS a Santa Clause.
He prolly just looks a little different from how you, and how Meghan Kelly on Fox News pictures him.

Yeah, I always found it weird the way that parents act so surprised when they take their kid to see Santa at the grotto, and the kid just tries to run away screaming. Bright kid, I say!

The wibbily wobbly timey wimey factor applies to Santa. What takes weeks only takes hours. As for the rest; magic.

The real magic is all of the people who keep the spirit of Saint Nicholas alive. Coca Cola may have perverted him into some jolly old fat man, but he was a real person, who gave to the less fortunate.

Simple to explain, some people are more efficient than others, so efficient that it may appear suspicious.
