Scientists Study Barn Owls To Understand Why People With ADHD Struggle To Focus

I might be misinterpreting, but I think this study is missing something. My inattention happens because of non-animal reasoning, boring, abstract conversation or other stimuli. When I perceive danger my focus laser and stays that way until perceived danger passes. I imagine if I had to hunt to eat, I would be the same way for that, too. Having too-wide focus/"inattention" helps me to be aware of cues of danger or other survival needs that other people miss. It might be more than needed in this cerebral society, hence the "disorder."

At least their intention is to find a new target for treatments, not to cure. I hope they are treating their owls well.
