In fiction, I mean. Had to shorten the title for the character limit.

My favorite is undoubtedly Porygon-Z from Pokémon. It and its two pre-evolutions (Porygon and Porygon-2) are sentient computer programs contained in floating, duck-shaped shells. What's interesting about Porygon-Z in particular, though, is the fact that it's implied to be infected with some kind of COMPUTER VIRUS. You use an item called a "dubious disk" to evolve Porygon-2 into it, and Z frequently goes through what look like painful, glitchy spasms.

It prompts some really frightening questions: Is this thing in constant pain? CAN IT FEEL pain? Are the program bugs tearing its psyche apart, if it even had one in the first place!? It's an entertainingly spooky take on intelligent AI gone wrong.

Does a homunculus count?

If so I really liked Daniella from the game Haunting Ground. Even though she was psychotic for trying to murder Fiona I felt sorry for her because she could not feel physical pain or pleasure.

As a kid I really liked Maika from the series "She came out of the blue sky", and D.A.R.Y.L. from the movie with the same name.

Now my vote would also go to Porygon.

But I also like the robots in the movies Heart Beep and Short Circuit, and the robot ORVIS in H M Hoover's book with the same title, and I adore Wall-E.

This is Daniella. She carries a giant shard of broken glass (and sometimes a red hot firepoker) to try and stab Fiona to death with.

Haunting Ground is a horror game btw. :skull:

Edit: And she is an example of an artificial lifeform. She was a man-made humanoid creature who was created to work as a maid in the castle. But unlike a real human she is unable to experience things like physical pain or physical pleasure. So she has a jealousy of humans such as Fiona because of this.

I've managed to find a Sweet Pea robot. His name is Haro.

Do my Sims count as artificial life forms? I sure do like them a lot more than most real life forms of humans. :)

I recently even made a doll of Bella Goth from The Sims franchise. I got the idea from a YouTube Video. I made her headbands of green, red, and yellow plum-bobs to wear to show her "moods".

Here's the theme for Daniella's character in Haunting Ground called "something lacking". Sounds very robotic.

I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission, Ferret. And I want to help you...

This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
