I have had problems with this my whole life. My teeth are very prone to cavities, even if I take care of them and don't eat much sugar. My gums recently were very sore. I don't grind my teeth, but I do chew on the inside of my mouth.

Do you floss? That helps with gum care. They will bleed if you haven't flossed in a while, but that goes away after a few days.

I'm 35 & only had one cavity in my life so far. My dentists say my teeth are in excellent health considering I have acid reflux & am on meds that cause dry mouth. The only time a dentist had an issue with my teeth was when I had braces. He complained about me needing to brush better every single time I went to him. He was also gruff with everyone including kids & refused to let their parents be in the room with them.
