I used to use them alot but I was sometimes using 1s I shouldn't use which confused others & they also had issues because I used so many my posts lacked substance. I don't use them too much nowadays but I still use them some.

I use smileys a lot, and sometimes I worry it makes it look like I'm flirting when I'm not, so I used to "ban" myself from using it so much.

I never used any other expression emojis except for the sad one, but I've just started to use the others. I like the ones on my iPad and iPod, like the animals and stars.

I've never liked them. Especially the emotion ones, they don't convey the emotions I'm looking for properly, they're too "flamboyant", for lack of a better word. Websites like Facebook force them upon you, and it upsets me so much.

I like the oldschool, classic emoticons, like these guys:

I always liked that the different faces had different colors.

Otherwise, I prefer good, old-fashioned ASCII ^_^ O_O >_< @_@ =D =( =P
