So recently I've been learning a lot about my ASD but so has my mom and I was wondering if there were any good books for helping her(or family in general) better understand it. I mean my powers of explanation only go so far, so I'd like it if they could read a book to get a better explanation than I can provide.

Here are a few that I've read that I would recommend:

Aspertools : the practical guide for understanding and embracing asperger's, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodiversity
by Reitman, Harold S.

Can I tell you about Asperger syndrome? : a guide for friends and family / Jude Welton ;
This one is short and very basic but good as a general easy to read outline of traits and challenges.

Unfortunately I'm not getting the ISBN numbers to come up in my library account to help you that way.
