Hello.

I'll start the introduction by saying that I have heard about WrongPlanet before, but have been hesitant to join. I've been on the internet for years, but here, I'm going as a more anonymous user than I do on other sites, as I'm not really that much open about my autism diagnosis. I've been more accepting of it in recent years, but I'm still at the point where I don't quite want the entire world to know that I have autism, so that's why I'm keeping my identity a secret here. I'm here mainly for support, and maybe make some new friends here. That's one of the things I struggle with a lot is making friends. Something I'm unable to do in the area where I live.

Yes, it's taken for granted here that the majority of us are anonymous, and revealing personal details is discouraged (and will usually get pointed out if it may have happened accidentally). It's definitely one of the strengths of using forums for me, that it puts me firmly in control over whom I disclose to.

Welcome Jar may you find some people that and are crazy and screwed up just the way u are! I have asperger's and chronic depression myself.

Welcome to WP.

I just recently figured out on my own that I have it too. Although at my age, I don't really care if anyone knows. It just fits into the way I have lived my life all these years. I have only told brother so far & he was very skeptical, going so far as to say I shouldn't tell anyone due to the stigma. Being HFA, I don't see any of that. It just answers many questions. Let people think what they want. I survived this far without knowing. Now that I know, I don't see any difference in knowing.

But in any case, there are a lot of discussions here about all topics you can imagine.
