I'd want to name my cat Yusuf Islam.

That works too. :P It's more sublime.

That's super cute!
I wanted to name one of my kitties Puddy once.
My partner at the time said it would have to be spelled Putty (?!) or Poody (?!)
They say "Puddy" would be pronounced like the word puddle.
It turned into a cat fight so I gave up.

I figure most people would hear it before they see it spelled so they can pronounce like you tell them. :nerdy:

My vet can't pronounce two of my cats' names.
It's pretty funny hearing him butcher them.
We wrote them phonetically in the charts but he still gets them wrong.

I'd just default to calling them all 'cat' or 'dog'.

Easy there cat.
"Uhh... that's my horse."
And?

LOL both times.

My cat is called Spike though, easy mistake I guess.

I was attempting to call up thoughts of Tweety Bird and also Elmer Fudd...

Exactly. That's what I wanted too. ^

Spike is good. The other cat name I like is Sharky.

Yeah, I was stuck for a name when I got him, until he had been home for a couple of days, just hanging out in my room.

Then my flatmates cat happened to walk in and Zoom, he had a full on punk reaction on this tiny kitten, all fluffy and Spiky. Hadn't realised he wasn't the only cat!

My previous cat was called Pixel, though *not* after the cat in "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls"

Image

He was a lilac tortie burmese, and looked a bit pixelated. But not named for that either!

When I got him I was playing Tetris on my computer a bit, and he used to like watching the pieces falling and trying to paw at them!

It wasn't until later I remembered Heinlein's cat character was also called that!

I took my cat to the vet the other day and she was diagnosed with arthritis. She's a senior citizen now, so it's not unusual, but at least it's treatable. I've been putting her medicine in her wet cat food and she eats it right up with no problems. My other cat was a lot harder to give medicine to. I would have to "accidentally spill" it onto his fur so he'd instinctively lick it off. :)

So here is kittens ala Fatboy Slim via the Joker.
