Yes, always, I wake up with something in my head and fall asleep to something else. Often it's part of a song that gets stuck on a loop but sometimes I find myself improvising on the general feel of a real piece of music, probably because I listen to quite a lot of jazz fusion. When I was regularly taking psychedelics I was getting all sorts of fantastic stuff coming out of nowhere.
