Do you like reading novels, in general, or do you prefer other types of literature (poetry, drama, short stories etc.)? :? How many novels would you say you read per year? And do you usually buy them or borrow them from the library?

I love novels. I can't say I prefer them to other types of writing or not. The form should suit the story. Hard to say how many I read each year. 5-10 depending on whatever other things I'm reading. I tend to buy used books. I like to write my comments in my books.

I have more books than I have shelves to put them on.

I like reading novels. I usually prefer them to non-fiction, but that's not always the case.

I like reading comics also, they're a lot faster to read, but obviously there's a different appeal there.

I don't read as many books as I used to...I need to make time for them again.

I do read novels, but not as much as I used to, so I need to make more time for them again.

@ Brother HL: If you ever visit Portland, there is large bookstore called Powell's where you can buy new or used books. In fact, you can sell used books and buyers will pay you.

I love novels. I haven't read anything in a long time but I'm getting back into the habit of it. :)

It happens from time to time, unless it's available on DVD and got good reviews.

Don't like books that gets too reworked in movies too far from the original story.

While I do enjoy novels, I think most of the time I like reading anthologies of short fiction.

Yes. I read 2-3 books each week. Sometimes more.

I read about 50 books a year, with some as repeats. They're usually 19th Century British fiction and poetry, literary criticism, or biographies about writers. Some are social histories. I buy 99% of my books.

I used to like novels a lot more. Nowadays I seem to prefer non-fiction for some reason.
