Captchas are back! Why?

Just when I thought all the technical difficulties here were gone for a while... Every time for I post for the last hour I have gotten a screen like this and have been prompted to complete a captcha.

Never mind, it seems fine again. Two more posts, this one included with no captcha.

For the last couple of months not only in CAPTCHA back but often, it is a 15-minute process involving checking off multiple boxes buses with cars, buses, bicycles, crosswalks etc.

If you want to correct something you start the process all over again.

It's because of Cloudflare.

It just happened to me. I thought that cloudcrap capcha rubbish had been removed for good, but it seems somebody's quietly decided to put it back again. Just like in the bad old days, my experience is that it doesn't rear its ugly head unless I try to make a post that contains a number of quotes. At least so far. So my tentative workaround is to split my post into chunks, each chunk containing no more than one quote, and post each chunk separately. It's tedious, but not so tedious as trying to solve those stupid capcha puzzles and not even knowing whether or not it'll ever let me through. Bah!

It even does this when I'm EDITING posts - how on Earth could anybody spam the site that way? And with over eight hundred quality posts to date, I'm hardly likely to start spamming the site with an automated script out of the blue.

Also, half the captchas never load at all.

I get it too , majority of the time is when previewing PM's , mind you I only have a handful of quality posts. Cloudfare is fed up with my inane drivel.

It even happens to we gods sometimes....I mean mods....

I usually wait until it goes away as I get tired of focusing on traffic lights.
