How does he get away with allegedly not knowing anything here when questioned by Trey Gowdy? I know he is playing dumb but he is obviously very stupid too. How much longer do Americans have to pay for his fraudulent investigation?

No, I'm looking down at Trey Gowdy, who does look and sound like a yokel - - and I'm not referring to his southern accent.
And while not attempting to derail the thread, I'll just add that I have great admiration for many southerners, such as Civil War Anti-Confederate guerrilla Newton Knight, and literary figures like William Faulkner, and Robert E. Howard.

Many times, Mueller didn't have personal knowledge of the things which Gowdy was referring to.

He frequently said he would have to "look into it." He didn't want to comment on something for which he had no personal knowledge. He was being a good lawyer for himself, so to speak.

This makes him a person of sense, rather than an airhead.

Interestingly, Gowdy ran afoul of Trump---in that he advocated giving Congress the right to sue the President. Trump was pissed off about that.

I wonder what was Gowdy's motivation in pursuing this line of questioning.
