Well it was a violent transfer if you count all the rioting. And all the death threats the electors received. And violent tweets and Facebook posts etc, that landed some people in jail while others got investigated by the secret service

Trump has made America Great Again. Go Trump! I do not understand why anyone could oppose our great leader, President Donald Trump. Trump is the greatest American President of all time!

We've never had a coup d'état.

No President has refused to give up his/her seat; no new President has been prevented from taking his/her seat.

That's the bottom line.

All that Ezra's said has happened in all elections.

Par for the course.

The bottom line is that we've never had a President who won, and who couldn't take the Oath of Office.

Trump is not enough of an idiot to refuse to give up his seat to the next President.

What has this "great leader" done for you?

All he's done, really, is provide tabloid material for the media.

It has never happened before so it is not going to happen is a dangerous assumption.

While we have had plenty scoundrels, egotists, a few dictator wanabees, and populist movements we have had not had anybody quite like Trump nor anything quite like the movement he has inspired. We are still together after many crises because of the way the founders set things up. Hopefully if he refuses to leave the authorities will carry out thier constitutional obligations. But as with most things in life there is only so many times you can go to the well as they say.

I wish it wasn't sarcasm....I sense that he means what he says.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be vigilant and watchful. Not at all. If we are not aware, bad things could happen.

I'm saying, like you said, that we are a strong country, and that we have many mechanisms in place which would prevent such a power play.

Trump is the best president ever.

My household is saving about $6000/yr for 6 years ($600x6 =$36,000), because of his tax cuts.

So, Trump gave us a new $36,000 luxury car.

What other president even comes close to the greatness of Trump?

This is what I drive now ... :P

Saved my rights from an illegal pen and paper action from a dictator before him.

Which 'dictator' did we have before Trump? If anything Trump has the most totalitarian attitude of any president thus far.

By that logic, we've only ever had dictators.

I think it is sarcasm. It is over the top, even for a Trump supporter.
