'Jurassic World' paleontologist: We're 5 years away from genetically engineering dinosaurs

Jack Horner, most notably known as the paleontologist who has consulted on all of the "Jurassic" films, told People magazine scientists are optimistically just five years away from being able to genetically engineer a dinosaur.

Here's how they'd do it: Horner says chickens already have the prehistoric genetic markers of its dinosaur ancestors in their DNA. Scientists would be able to mutate chickens back to their prehistoric roots, morphing them into what we consider to be more dinosaur-like.

The end result: A “Chickenosaurus.”

So do you think this will be possible in 5 years time?
