Why do people assume that if you talk about mind control, that you're a conspiracy theorist?

I was wondering because of remote neural monitoring and V2k and electronic brain link technologies being used against people are not understood to be real projects, when they are in fact real.

I have no idea, I'm not a scientist and afraid to go to Harvard or MIT to figure it out. They might punish me...hence the phrase, "powers that be..'

Where did you discover the idea of it then, because I never heard of any of those things until you mentioned them.
How do you know they're real projects?
