Tulsi Gabbard Sues Hillary Clinton for Defamation over ‘Russian Asset’ Comments

Tulsi Gabbard sued Hillary Clinton on Wednesday for defamation over the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate’s claim that the Hawaii congresswoman was a “Russian asset.”

“With this action, Tulsi seeks to hold Clinton, and the political elites who enable her, accountable for distorting the truth in the middle of a critical Presidential election,” the suit explains. The move appears to be the next step after Gabbard’s lawyers demanded a retraction of Clinton’s “defamatory” comments in a November letter.

Clinton made headlines in October after she called Gabbard “the favorite of the Russians” in an appearance on former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe’s podcast, and suggested she was being groomed as a potential third party candidate, despite Gabbard stating publicly she would not run a third-party campaign.

Prediction: the DNC establishment has already decided on Bloomberg, and he has agreed to pick a female running mate. The Dem primary is already over.

If they do that to their own voters Trump will win handily. Most Sanders supporters, heck most supporters of anybody But Bloomie will stay home, the others will vote for a third party candidate or Trump. The House would probably flip back to the Trump party.

I would doubt that will happen because while the Democratic establishment would prefer Bloomberg(actually Hillary) they are not stupid and understand it would be an act of political suicide. Democratic politicians no matter how much they fear or disagree with Sanders will fall in line if it he is the popular choice of the base(See republican party 2016-)

Or maybe it will turn out to be a different Democrat billionaire. Yet another failed campaign would cut into his wind-surfing time on Martha's Vineyard, though.

Kerry has nostalgic value for me. The 2004 campaign was the first one I took any interest in. But...to say he's uninspiring is quite the understatement.

Well, kinda sorta votes. If you consider the bizarre internal party caucus system in Iowa voting.

Tonight's Iowa Democrat caucus being called a "debacle" by mainstream media. Voting apps not working correctly, vote totals not being tabulated properly, etc., etc.

I remember the first time I heard the word caucus ... sitting crosslegged on the library carpet at school, and giggling with the other little girls. :P
