Some Aspies stim. Some use echolalia. That is my point. I am withdrawing from this conversation with you.

As i said, EVERYONE doesn't - you made an assumption that everyone did, which is common with people with autism that "everyone is like me" and make statements like "Uh, why don't we have empathy" - to which my direct response is "no - YOU - don't have empathy". This is what is pissing me off.

But as for the discussion - the feeling is mutual.

I'm one of those who doesn't have unusual stimming behavior, and that's true at work.

I do stim at work, but they are things that aren't really that noticeable. One thing I do is repetitively typing things out on my fingers: things I'm thinking, things people are saying, words I see written on trucks or signs, etc. For a long time it was the phrase "some of them are very nice" over and over...I have no idea why. When I was younger I would also assign words a score depending on how many letters I typed out with my left vs. my right hand.

The other thing I do is rub the tip of my tongue against the back of my front teeth. I make kind of a weird face when I'm doing it, I think other people think I'm frowning or making faces at them even though I'm not doing it purposely.
