It's OK, this was two weeks ago now and I'm still alive.

I think worrying about eating/drinking something you found is just a survival instinct, as us humans have it drummed into us that if you see food or drink lying around it means somebody's done something to it, even if it's unopened and in perfect condition.

It is safe, enjoy your can of doctor pepper! No one's going to complain severely about losing a thirty cent can of soda.

You are overthinking this.

When I was young, my mom gave her three young children peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We ate them but my younger brother put his down so that he could play. Later he came back and there were hundreds of ants crawling into his sandwich. He didn't notice this and ate his sandwich. Nothing bad happened to him.

Ants are extra proteins.

^^^They must not of been red ants aka fire ants because they will bite your mouth while your eating them. My parents's dog eat them sometimes & she starts moving her mouth all weird like it's in pain & then the dumb dog goes back to eating them. She eats all kinds of stuff that isn't good for her.
