Why wouldn't an autistic person be able to become a radio host?

It is unlikely because most normal people have difficulty getting this job. Lots of people want to be on the radio and there are few jobs to be had.

I DJed for an online station for a short time YEARS ago. Me & everyone else were volunteers who did not get paid anything from it. Some like me were mostly doing it cuz it was something to do & a couple were wanting to get actual jobs in the radio industry like DJing so it was kinda like an internship for them while they were in skewl or doing other jobs. I imagin things would be a lot different working for a commercial radio station that isn't strictly online.

It's possible.

I have spoken for hours with several different people in Amateur Radio networks. Aside from the prohibition on broadcasting music, and the fact that your "fans" can talk beck to you, it's not much different.

The radio business is money driven. Being able to sell advertising on your show is more important that who listens.

Selling advertising for a radio station can be a good entry level job if you have no qualifications other than your ability to sell.

DJ Ginger here. Been DJ both in the physical world and in the ether/broadcast (WPUR/KRIR/WCPE and Weebly/Iheart/Private). Being a web DJ/radio personality is just fine for us. Even if enforced to make interactions for PR, the time is short.
But one needs to keep up on trends of what people like to hear, or stay in a genre you know
